Touched By An Angel: Tafseer Juz Amma
This product is the official recording of the AlMaghrib Institute seminar. The two main features of this tafseer are that each surah's verses are blocked into themes for easier full-picture understanding and that the meanings are compared with Western life analogies that you'll find quite familiar. This is the first tafseer of its kind in the English language. Allah willing, you'll witness your Eman growing stronger & stronger as the message of the Qur'an becomes alive in your mind, in your soul, and in your heart.

Lessons from the Life of Eesa Ibn Maryam

The Last Supper -- In his farewell lecture at Darussalaam, College Park, MD, Muhammad AlShareef expounds on the lessons we learn from the life of Prophet Eesa (as). He begins with the story of Maryam, her virtues, the virgin birth as well as the trials she faced. Prophet Eesa’s compelling connection to us as the Ummah of Muhammad (saws) is discussed, as well as his virtue of patience, wisdom, humility and the gratefulness to Allah (swt). Muhammad Alshareef takes this opportunity to remind us that for every obstacle we face, we must remember lessons from the life of the prophets and see these obstacles as way to grow stronger in working for the sake of Allah.

Character of the prophet
Referring to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) Allah, Most High, says, (And you (stand) on an exalted standard of character.) (Al-Qalam 68: 4) (Ye have indeed in the Messenger of Allah a beautiful pattern (of conduct) for any one whose hope is in Allah and the Final Day, and who engages much in the praise of Allah.) (Al-Ahzab 33: 21)
The Story of Ka'b Ibn Maalik

The Muslims had conquered Makka, and news of this conquest had spread to Ceaser, of Rome who decided to extinguish the Prophet (pbuh) and his followers, thus extinguishing his threat. As the Prophet readied for war, excuses were made by the hypocrites to be excused, thus the Prophet excused them. This is the story of Ka’ab Ibn Malik others who were distracted from war by their material possessions, but who were sincere and did not make excuses like the hypocrites when the prophet returned. This tells of the trial, Allah placed them through, and then the reward they were granted for their patience, mentioning their deed as revelation in the Qur’an.
Protecting Our Imaan

“It is like a weight has been lifted off my shoulders…” when the light of Islam enters the confines of a dark heart, that heart finds peace in the awareness of Allah. It is the greatest gift that is given by Allah to his creation, namely belief and submission to His Existence and Authority. The sheikh talks about the importance of protecting our Imaan in Islam, addressing the different levels of faith with their distinct characteristics and susceptibilities.

Accidental Reflections
Excerpt: "What is the hukm of studying Islam? Is it Fard, is it Makrooh, is it Haram? Let the Prophet - sal Allaahu alayhi wa sallam - give us all the answer: "Seeking knowledge is Fard (Compulsory, not an option) upon every single Muslim.."
Return and Pray
Excerpt: "During the night, Abu Lu’lu’ Al Majoosi hid in the shadows in preparation for the Fajr Salah where he would execute his satanic mission: to Murder the Ameer of the Believers: Umar ibn Al-Khattab - Radi Allahu Anhu. Umar would lead the Fajr with a long surah, giving time for the community to join the congregation. As he led that Salah, Abu Lu’lu advanced from a dim pillar, a poisoned dagger hidden in his sleeve. He jumped in front of Umar Radi Allahu Anhu and tore open his stomach with the dagger."
